Our Story Book explains through photographs and stories how/why Jewish culture changed the world. Photographer and blogger SamTheJewishGuy used original photographs and stories in over 30 countries to explain how the world impacted Jews and the Jews impacted the world. Our Story, Our Sipur (Hebrew for Story) is a book with photographs of life and traditions in over 30 countries taken over the course of one year from a Jewish perspective showing how Jewish people soaked up cultures of their host countries during their time of exile, how they adapted to survive in vastly diverse and different environments and how they kept the core of their teachings in spite of two Millenia of exile. Our Story is over 450 pictures picked out of thousands in 200 pages with descriptions and explanations of each country, its history and a description of Jewish customs and traditions and how they resemble and differ depending on the country where they are practiced.
