Why did exactly those people that Jesus appealed to, his contemporary Jews, not accept Jesus? Why have the Jews not accepted Jesus later?
Translated by Mira S. Beerbaum
Why did exactly those people that Jesus appealed to (“I wasn’t sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel” Mat. 15:24), his contemporary Jews, precisely those who saw and heard him, namely, the overwhelming majority of them not accept the preaching of Jesus? Why have the Jews not accepted Jesus during the two thousand years since the time of Jesus? WHY ARE JEWS NOT CHRISTIANS? This is a burning question for Christianity even now, 2,000 years later.
This book was written by an Orthodox Jew living in Israel and answers this two-thousand-year-old burning question from the first-person perspective.
The book not only examines the difference between the interpretations of the biblical prophecies about the Messiah but also discusses the difference between the actual concept of the “Messiah” in Judaism and Christianity, as well as doctrinal, basically incompatible distinctions between the two religions. The question raised in the title is examined from all possible viewpoints. In contrast to other books covering Judeo-Christian relations, critical issues are analyzed in detail and are not glossed over at all.
