Justice: Maccabees & Pharisees by Judy Petsonk

Justice: Maccabees & Pharisees by Judy Petsonk

Murder, mayhem and mockery of Jewish traditions result when the descendants of the Maccabees declare themselves kings as well as high priests of Judea. The Pharisee movement arises to oppose the corrupt kings. But in his zeal to oppose corruption, Shimon ben Shetakh, leader of the Pharisees, destroys his own family. The novel JUSTICE follows the historical figure Shimon and his (fictional) wife Sarah as they go separate ways trying to rebuild their lives and their land.
